Spring Break is right around the corner and students have been eager to head to their destinations whether it be local or even as far as out of the country. For many students attending Mooresville High School Spring Break is a time for students to take their time and relieve themselves from the stresses of school life. Students that are traveling to places further away from home, may find a beach, and family, and even create new friendships on their trip. However, students traveling to local destinations within the state will still find the same things and even create stronger and tighter bonds with their family and friends.

The trend of hopping on a plane or in a car and heading down South to Florida is one of the many destinations in MHS. Florida offers many different things to people of all ages and backgrounds. Students will interact with their friends and family, and even create new friendships with people from different parts of the United States. Samantha Grover, a freshman at MHS, was eager to tell of the events for her trip to Florida in Destin.

“I am looking forward to relaxing on the beaches and getting my mind off of school,” Grover said.

Some other hotspots that are out of the country include Cabos, Cancun, Riviera Maya, and other Spring Break hotspots in México. The beaches and tropical resorts of México have many wonderful sea creatures, crystal blue water and white sand beaches. Students can easily escape the daily stresses of school and enjoy one of their many Spring Break hot spots. Mady Gunnell, a senior at MHS, had many things to say about her Riviera Maya experience in the near future.

“I am most excited about the food I am going to eat. It is an inclusive resort so there are going to be many free buffets and I am going to be there all the time,” Gunnel said.

Continually, other students attending MHS are going to many different parts of the Eastern Caribbean via a cruise. Cruises provide many new experiences, slides, parks, games, and new family and friend relationships. Micah Bullock, a freshman at MHS, is taking a cruise on the Royal Caribbean and heading to the islands near South America.

“I am looking forward to seeing new people and seeing the parts of the Caribbean that I have never seen before,” Bullock said.
